softy flower power "grey day in May"
Lens: takumar 50mm f1.4 with 12mm tube Camera: K10d Photo Location: Netherlands Aperture: F1.4
Posted By: margriet, 05-06-2012, 02:38 PM

I went out for soft colors and from soft I went even softer, the first one is actually taken with the panagor 90mm macro lens, the others are with the 12mm tube and 50mm 1.4 takumar. Adding this tube makes the DOF really tiny and provides great painting possibilities on a grey day in may. I tried with the yellows to at least get a feel of sunshine in the pictures because not one ray of sunlight got through today.

I hope you will enjoy them! Or tell me what is missing...

Strong images. I love the painterly effects of the last. Though 2 and 4 are equally very nice. Thanks for a great series.

Lovely lovely shots! I love the soft dreamy kind of feel to some of these! You've inspired me to whack the extension tubes on my Tak 50 1.4 for tomorrow. The butterfly shot for me is particularly beautiful!

Dice, Charliezap and Captainbert, thanks for the nice comments!

I got lucky with the butterfly, because of the cold and moist weather it didnīt move at all when I got close. This is the effect of the extension tubes; prepare to get close!

I think they're amazing - totally mesmerizing and many steps beyond the ordinary. Beautiful job.

Tess, Jer, Marcus and Bluestringer, thank you very much! The butterfly Iīll probably put in pentax photo gallery (even though Iīm not so sure about the voting standards that seem really all over the place). But itīs also my favorite!

Those first three are stunning. I refuse to pick a favorite among them. I will also be looking for at least one of them in the gallery. Most deserving.
