Shady Lady
Lens: DA 15/4 Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Clute Texas
Posted By: Sailor, 05-07-2012, 02:48 PM

A red rod sensibly-parked under a tree on a 90F (32C) afternoon in Clute, Texas. I could have (barely) straightened the horizon, but I decided that I liked it better with a bit of heel to port. Unfortunately, I had set the lens wide open for an earlier shot and forgot to stop down, so the pic lacks a little of the zing a DA 15 can produce.

Thanks Richard. I'm sorry to say that I don't have a clue about the car's make - I love to look and photograph these '40s ear cars, but I know nothing about them.

ahh back when cars were gas guzzling masterpieces of chrome and metal with steering wheels the same size used on 30 foot yachts.

I'm betting this one has contemporary small-block Chevy under the hood. Thanks for looking buddy.

Holy Cow, Capn - it looks like a miniature of the one in my pic - down to the color! Thanks so much for taking the time to look in your collection and making the connection.

Just for you Jer if I get ambitious I'll take it outside and take some macro shots on the ground maybe with a bug or two--rocks --twigs--etc. Another project--I'm glad I'm retired.--capn zap

Great shot! love those old cars. The color is perfect. Someone spent a bundle on it......they might laugh at our complaints on lens prices!
Regards!
