Fannie, the watch cat
Lens: DA*55/1.4 Camera: Pentax K-r Photo Location: Virginia Aperture: F3.5
Posted By: loco, 05-08-2012, 05:53 AM

I have found that I love to process photos of my black and white cats in black and white. Just seems to fit them! This is Fannie, looking out the sliding glass door. She's actually keeping an eye on an outdoor cat that she doesn't like one bit.

Thanks for looking and I hope you like Fannie's portrait.

Lovely photo. The black & white treatment works well with the black & white cat!!

I love the way animals don't bother trying to multi-task (or rapidly task switch) like us humans try to.

They focus on what they're doing at that time. Watching, walking, running, eating, looking for attention etc.

love this photo, intense concentration and a look you see on the big cats watching their prey. Now a question, are Fannie and Snickers related, they have similar markings from what I remember and both quite beautiful?

Thank you so much, Bob! Fannie and Snickers do have similar markings. They have different mothers, and I do not know if the mothers are related. Snickers is the only cat of the bunch who is not a descendant of "Mama Kitty". He's the black sheep!

They are, aren't they.

They'll just totally ignore you if they're used to being photographed or involved in something more important than dealing with humans. (in their opinion, EVERYTHING else is more important than dealing with humans.)

Thank you, cmohr!! Funny you would say that. Some of them, like Fannie, don't care. And others run away as soon as they see the camera!!
