Jumping Spider
Lens: Pentax 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 (Kit) Camera: Pentax K-x Photo Location: Riverview Community High School, Riverview Michigan ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/1500s Aperture: F4

One of the shots from a High School Track & Field Meet I shot today.

This is a Center Crop from a larger image that was shot at 18mm with my Kit Lens.

I like this shot mainly because of his landing and the dirt flying. It reminds me of Spiderman thus Jumping Spider.

nice capture on the facial expression. If you are willing to risk it at a future event, I'd try shooting from closer to the ground so the camera is angled flat or even upward.

With that lens I wouldn't mind risking it, it was a Kit Lens after all so they are not expensive. The K-x is not sealed though. Granted a little bit of sand shouldn't hurt it if I am careful and clean it properly.
