It's A Rainbow!
Lens: Pentax 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 (Kit) Camera: Pentax K-x Photo Location: My Front Porch ISO: 800 Shutter Speed: 1/500s Aperture: F8

I forgot to change my ISO after shooting Track the other day so I was still at ISO 800.

This Rainbow was part of a Double Rainbow sky, the 2nd rainbow was above it a ways and was very weak.

I quickly ran upstairs, grabbed my camera and 18-55mm Kit Lens along with my CPL and ran back down and out the front door.

I think I might have been able to capture more color if I had noticed I was still at ISO800 and changed it to 100 with a slower shutter.

It was completely random and my Enchiladas that was I was making were about t burn so I didn't pay that much attention.

It was beautiful though. You could clearly see each of the colors, my picture just doesn't do it justice.

Thanks, though the CPL and +25 Vibrance in Camera Raw get all the credit for the colors lol

Considering the circumstances you had a really nice result. I am worried about the enchiladas however. Hope they were OK.

Is there something wrong with the photo? Because if there is I'm not seeing it. So if this had been your relaxed, take your time picture I'd still think it was a good one.

Impressive - well defined. You were fast on the draw, enchiladas not withstanding.

Well the only issue was that I couldn't get the second rainbow to pop out with the cpl. I ended up just cropping it out cause it didn't look right.

You can still see a part of it behind the power lines in the top left.

One thing came to mind after shooting it though.

The rainbow stayed for a good 2 minutes... I should've grabbed my DIY Welding Glass ND and did a long exposure of it!
