Well obviously this is not my photo, and I don't even know if it was taken with a Pentax, but someone just turned me on to it and I was captivated by it's beauty. Thought I'd pass it on.

Very nice. But look at all that banding in the sand! ;-)

I noticed that a K10D took two POTD awards today at photographyvoice.com today.

OK, I'm slow. I had to stare at it for a minute to figure it out.

But it is very cool.

At first I was wondering what was at the base of the Camels, until I realized that what I thought were Camels were actually the shadows
Very interesting picture

The camels seemed deformed in some ways but the overall impact of the photo is amazing. The colour and the feel of nature is strong in deed.

Thanks for sharing this

This and other shots just as amazing are one a site I was looking at a few weeks ago but for the life of me can not remeber. That is an amazing shot for sure. All I need, trip to desert, Camera, helicopter and funds to support it all.

Took me a while to figure out what was going on here. I was just about to pass this image up as kinda crappy but now I can't stop staring at it...very cool!

Brilliant use of harsh light.
