There was a small mining town close to my place over 100 years ago called The City of Paris, and I've always wanted to hike there during the winter.
Well today was the day. I packed up my K100D, along with my Mamiya 645 loaded with B&W film, and went for a hike, with my snowshoes on.
There are still around 6 buildings left standing, but I only had enough daylight to photograph 4 of them.
These are my 3 favorite pic's.
I also snapped on the macro lens, and took a few closeups during the hike.
for some reason this one reminds me of a snow cone
I swear that this is the last one.
I'll probably return there sometime in the spring or summer, although it gets rather overgrown early.
I should have the B&W's developed in the next 2 weeks or less.
I just don't know if I'll set up my own darkroom, or develop it at the local store yet.
I'm getting an enlarger tomorrow, and don't know what else I'll need.
