Goodwill Bridge - Brisbane
Lens: Sigma 8-16mm Camera: Pentax K-5 Photo Location: Brisbane

I took a pic a few years back of this with *istD and Sigma 12-24 and ventured back with the other week with K-5 and 8-16.

I do enjoy an angle....of view. I have the camera actually pointing upwards at around 45deg in this shot. So abstract is a very apt way to decribe what is going on.

very nicely done, you're right that the angle makes the shot.

I love how you've created a beautifully abstract image from a bridge using an ultra wide angle lens... very creative and very effective. Perfect composition and black and white conversion!

Thank You Bob, Its the "secret" of ultra wides, I rarely shoot with the camera level, and mostly try to have part of the subject very close as well.

Thank you Capt, The B&W is straight out of the K-5, I have tho, done a rare croppping of my pictures original size, to have a square frame.

(interesting note, this pictures original was actually taken with the camera in Portrait frame, and I have cropped the top and bottom of the pic, the 8-16 is still so wide even when taking pics on its side)
