My attempt at a red rose

Reds don't come out very good for me............

Do you shoot RAW or JPG? From what I've read on the forum, many of the preset JPG filters on the camera don't do a good job with reds. It also looks like your focus is off a little so the details in the petals are lost

I shoot RAW, and do basic PP with Faststone. Focus is spot on, but it was a little dark and I lost some detail and contrast when I brightened it up.
