Camera: K100D
Posted By: markvc, 05-18-2012, 12:54 PM

I am a new member, and have been a Pentax owner for many years. The camera I used for these photos is K100D, but I just upgraded to a K-5. I am a casual photographer, and would welcome tips, hints etc from the more veteran members on these Landscape photos. I'll post a few Nature/Wildlife photos as well in my next post. The first two were taken in England, the last two in Alaska.

Beautiful shots - looking forward to seeing more (and I've already seen your second set). Is the second shot here from Cambridge?

Yes - it is a bridge over the River Cam - hence the town name Cambridge

I do not believe that is the bridge for which the city is named. I'm pretty sure it is the Mathematical Bridge which connects two parts of Queens' college. (I spent almost 4 years in Cambridge, but that was quite some time ago!)

You are most certainly correct that this is not the original bridge - my guess is that the first bridge that gave the city its' name was probably replaced centuries ago
