Oh wow Tom, another great capture! Looks like a large snake. Great image.... I love how clear the eye is in the first and the colours in the second.

Great shots, at least in the desert the snakes are on the ground, wouldn't care for them looking down on me like that.

Thanks, he's probably about three feet long, the one he was heading for in the tree stump was bigger.

Thanks, at least he's harmless. First time I've seen a snake in a tree, or this species. I understand that this species is kind or rare. They have a very limited range and unfortunately for them, they mimic a rattlesnake when threatened, which has caused a lot of them to get killed by humans.
