We were out 6 nights and 3 had good sunsets, not a bad average.

Love the last two. Will need to get north some time, if I can just figure out how to make it work family wise.

I read your trip report - very well written with the nice thumbnails.

It took me far far away for 10 minutes or so as I followed along with your trip. You both are very fortunate to have the time, ability, and an area like this close by to enjoy such a trip.

Thanks for sharing - I throughly enjoyed it!

As they say, a bad day in the Park is better than a good day in the office.

Thanks for the comment. As things go, we'll be correcting things, adding stuff etc over the next few days. Sometimes I find errors weeks later, but hopefully it was "done enough".

Beautiful norm I will take those odds any day! Last year out of 8 days in the Mountains I don't remember on 'special' sunset actually and only one good sunrise.

Nice series Norm. You two are sure lucky. That looks a grand place to put up the tent.

Yes, we really were alone there for the most part. Full of campers in the summer though.

I now the feeling, our previous trip was 12 days, and didn't provide as many good sunsets or sunrises, and definitely not the variety of images.

The lucky part was beating the bugs. They were so much worse at the end of the trip. I feel sorry for those who went out for the May 24, (this is a long weekend in Canada.)

Yes charlie, a really nice 6 days. You can't get the forum out there though. I end up wondering what trouble Rupert and Otis are getting in to while I'm gone.

These are some beautiful locations. That night shot is particularly nice. But if I may add a humble observation: your presentation is compromised by the thick blurry border currently in use.

mischivo

I don't think much about the borders, they are online only, and part of the process of helping people understand they are copyrighted. It's not worth my while to spend time doing custom borders to bring out the best in each image. I'm not getting paid for this. And when I do get paid, there are no borders on the image, so there's your solution if you'd like to see the image without the "objectionable" border. We've spent a fair bit of time considering what the least we could possibly do is to have a fair presentation of the image without compromising the image and ruining the viewer experience. This is what works for us. You're free to do what ever you choose yourself, or you can choose to ignore my images altogether. Your choice, but the for now, the border and the copyright info stay as posted. We have no inclination to address this issue any time in the near future. So if it bothers you that much, you should probably just avoid our images.

As I commented to Tess once, your images bring me home. Can almost smell those pines. Beautiful work in a beautiful place. Thanks, John.
