Female Red-Winged Blackbird in breeding plumage
Lens: DA* 60-250 Camera: K5 Photo Location: Sherwood Park, Alberta ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/90s Aperture: F8

In a not so common pose (for me anyway) - thanks wildman for giving me the proper classification.

I really like the complete composition here, water, reflection and a nicely photographed sparrow.

Thanks Bob these guys are usauylly hidden in the trees and move way too fast for me , it was a rare oppertunity for me that he rested there for a few minutes.

Damn I believe you are correct wildman - should have left the classification as a 'bird of sorts'

The reflection and the small waves in the water do give this photo something extra.

Thanks Jim , it's pretty dirty water actually but sometimes the light just hits it right.
