1966 Shelby Cobra
Camera: Panasonic LX-5 Photo Location: Clute, TX
Posted By: Sailor, 05-26-2012, 11:05 AM

It seems I shoot very little anymore and when I do, the subject is usually a car. Here's a group of snapshots of a '66 Cobra (a surprising visitor to a small local car show) I grabbed with my handy little, Panasonic LX-5 a week or so ago. You'll note from the first shot, that this car is quite rare, being one of the few spouting a white pole with blue and silver tassels from its trunk .

Nice shots of a nice car.
I could be wrong, but doesn't Factory Five make Cobra reproduction kits?

You are correct.

Factory Five Home Page
MK4 Roadster Kit Page

You build the kit around an '87 - '04 Mustang - and Factory Five is a very good replica/kit car.

Nice shots Jer of the "Corvette Killer" as Carroll Shelby named it. Here is the Hey Little Cobra video which has quite a few cobra pics.

Thanks, guys and I'm sure you're right - it explains why this car would be at a penny ante car show. The program said '66 Cobra, but I'll admit I didn't look at the fine print.

Capn, I think this baby would fit you like a glove - you'd look great in it.

What a beaut Jer - I had a new one (might have been 2013 ) pass me on the hghway - my friend has a regular ole Mustang 2007 rag top - he took a new Shelby out for a spin and when he found out how much he had to pay AFTER his trade in ...... they are and always were classics I think.

Thanks, Dave. I think a new Shelby Mustang would be just the thing for a guy like you; I'll even help you pick the color and options (my consultation fee will merely be a single case of Bud Light) .
