Here are some macro shots of my new Pentax K-5 Silver Special Edition. I absolutely love this thing! Hope you guys enjoy!

I know it's been critically well received, but I wonder how well the K5 is selling. Is it a commercial success?

Well I imagine it's one of Pentax's best sellers. So maybe not when compared to Nikon or Canon but as far as Pentax goes it's gotta be like 45% of their sales. This silver edition set me back $1600 (comes with the 40mm xs) but you can get the regular black one for around $1000 with the 18-55mm WR, so it's quite the deal. But if you wait a bit they might be coming out with a replacement for the K-5 next year.

The eye piece needs a little clean. There is some dust on it. Cool subject. Never thought of having the camera as the subject. It is a bit like me being in the photo.

I think the black one will be ok.

And I want to have it before a trip in August. I've seen great pictures with it on here.

Oh in that case I say definitely go for it! The K-5 has so much freedom. You won't feel afraid of going into higher ISOs when the sun goes down.

Hey thanks! Yeah Fiji's are pretty good with the macro. I can't wait to get a good macro set up for the K-5
