my first Jumping spider ...
Lens: reversed Minolta 50mm & extension tubes Camera: K& Photo Location: western NY ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/180s Aperture: F11

I was beginning to think Jumping Spiders didn't exist where I live until this little guy appeared. He was a very patient and willing subject for me.

Love him! Jumping spiders are the neatest! They make great pets too...I had one that lived on my desk for ages....until he got killed in a window opening accident. I still miss him!

Wow! That shallow depth of field works.... he looks like he's ready to leap off my screen. Good thing this shows him to a million times bigger than he is!!
