Stupid weather people....
Posted By: Tyler, 01-20-2008, 09:12 AM

They told us we were gonna get 2-4 inches of snow yesterday and I was so excited for the first real snowfall this year.

...All we got was this. We got a little more overnight but still I was disapointed. Can't they ever get it right?

K100D f11 8s ISO200. This was my first time shooting RAW. I never liked shooting RAW because I had to use the Pentax Photo Labratory which is a POS IMO. Now that i've got Bibble, its all good.

I'm sitting in the room with the half round window and orange walls right now

That is a very cool picture Tyler!
BTW, be careful what you wish for, you might get it!
Snow is cool for a day, I guess, after that it's a pain in the rear:-).

I know what you mean! haha. We don't handle snow down here in NC to well. Last year, we got an inch, it all froze over or became hard packed and the whole triangle pretty much shut down. It took me and my parents 5 or 6 hours to drive probably 10miles to my house from school! Some people took 10 hours or more to get home!

Snow??? You want snow??? Jump on a plane. I'll show ya some snow. We've gotten over 6 feet in total so far this season. When you come I'll show you how to drive in it.

Seriously though. it is a beautiful spot where you live, wherever that is. Snow's fine but these volumes this year take a little getting used to. It's the dull gray days that drive me nuts.

Haha, 6ft may be a little too much for me! I live in North Carolina btw.

I would love it if the weatherman/woman was always wrong this way, lol. Nice looking shot by the way !! I couldn't stand it anymore and went out this afternoon to take a few shots outdoors with my new < had it about a month > K10D, it has been gloomy pretty much every weekend since I bought it, and today was nice and sunny.........but colder than a well diggers butt, could only stand about 30 mins out there, but was glad to get to take a few shots with some sun shining for a change !!!

That still doesn't compare to the blizzard that was expected here about 8 years ago. 24-36 inches of snow expected. We got rain. Quite a few weather people were employed elsewhere a few months later.

I think it snowed 1 time in the 5 years I lived in NC (Fayetteville), and then only about 2". We got 5" here last week in northern VA, and it was 15F degrees here this morning. You folks can have the snow. People around here don't have a clue how to drive in it.
