On The Beach

A bunch of shots south of Scarborough. I found a lot of limpets and I felt there was an almost zen-garden-esque feeling to the place. After taking a few shots I started to see little colonies and I tried to make it looks like settlements or individuals doing something or moving around. I dunno if I succeeded, but I enjoy the pictures.

There was also THIS:

And so, the photos of Limpets:

I think you succeeded with the last shot, although without your description I'd have no clue as to what I was looking at. The first shot has an interesting painting feel to it.

The limpets do look like primitive huts. I don't think I have ever seen them on the beach. I especially like the first shot.

Cool shots, and an interesting (fresh!) concept. Susan, limpets tend to like the intertidal and surf zones of rocky shores. You'd have to get wet or take your chances on it anyway, to see much of 'em.

Yeah I thought that when I uploaded them. They're not distinct enough to jump out at you as little huts or individuals without a bit of prompting. Not sure how to emphasise that more though. Limpets aren't really the most posable creatures. Perhaps it's just a bit too empty as a concept. It takes too much effort to see what I saw.

And thanks for the comments about the first shot It reminds me of an old TV show called The Trap Door. It was all claymation and weird.
