White Marshland Bird

I don't do much wildlife photography, but occasionally I'm tempted to try my (unsteady) hand. Here are three fairly conventional shots of what people around here generally call an egret - all I know for sure is that it's a white bird with looooooong neck.

Thanks, Dave. Frankly, I haven't the patience to practice wildlife photography routinely, but periodically I like to photograph the odd bird or mammal.

These are gorgeous shots Jer! I like them all. The third with him strutting makes me smile! The second with the water splashing is very cool. And I like the long grasses as a frame in the first. Thank you for sharing these! Beautiful white bird. Wow.

I agree with the others on the water droplets shot, but I also like the first one, because you could claim that you shot using the 50mm end of the lens, and that you were well camouflaged by the tall weeds

Thanks for looking - you know, I think I'll make that very claim, proving what an intrepid explorer I am .

Thanks much, Capn, but I don't think my horizons will expand that far . Actually, I've always photographed some wildlife here and there when the opportunity to conveniently capture a subject presents itself, but I've never been passionate about doing wildlife photography - probably because I lack the skill and patience to do it well consistently.
