The first is almost like two feather dusters, great sharpness in the second.

Bruce, I am enjoying your minimalist approach to your photography of late... you take the simple things we often walk over and show their intricate beauty. Both images are outstanding and evoke this kind of mediative way of viewing if that makes sense. Thanks so much for sharing!

Tess, thank you so much for your observation. I had driven past this spot, which is also where my other weed picture was taken, literally 6 times per week for the last 12 years. For once I was on my own with a couple of hours to kill and the light was good and I had the K-7 with Sigma 105 bolted on, so I stopped the car and took a walk around. As an overall scene there is nothing of interest there, no mountains, no rivers, no waterfalls, no forests, no lions, tigers or bears. I think it was the best couple of hours I have spent with a camera for a long time. I will be stopping there more often.

Crisp and clear photos Bruce, the dandelion is really a winner in my book.
