Excellent Rense. What is the working distance with the 50 on the 90 macro? When I tried my 50 reversed on my 100 macro, the distance was so close the critters would take off before I could get a shot.

BTW.....that looks like a white faced hornet.
Thank you! Yes, the working distance is close, I guess about 4 or 5 cm, so under 2 inch....
And in fact it is a bee, a friend determined this little guy - it's a male - as Hylaeus hyalinatus, a mask bee.....

As always Rense, wonderful work and thank you for showing us. If the image would have been taken over here I would say that the critter was one of the Tetramesa species.
Thank you Heinrich! See above, it's not a wasp, although the mask makes it look like it, but a bee!

Excellent quality... looks like he was getting kind of tired of you by the third picture. :-)
Jerry, thank you! Yeah, but when I spoke to him friendly he wanted to pose once more...

Nicely lit, well shot with interesting perspectives, and spot on with focusing. Thanks for sharing,

I can't get within 50 cm of these creatures, much less 5, so you can add me to the Rense photo fan club.

Thank you Charlie! I think the flash made the white hairs of this bee stand out and it increased the level of detail....
