I love the way young whitetail deer seem to be studying me as I take their photographs.

It is interesting the depth of opening of their pupils

Both nice shots but that first one is excellent. Great colour,detail and exposure. The second appears to be slightly off in WB or underexposed a stop or so.

Nice captures - that is a deer in the headlights pose for sure. As others mentioned #1 is stellar and #2 is just , well very good - very well done.

That is a beautiful image in #1.... great capture, lighting, pose, whatever you want it's there....

Thanks for the comments everone. I guess I should have lightened the 2nd one up a little bit. Have had lots of cloudy overcast days around here. 2nd one was shot latter in the fall and she has on her grayish winter coat--not as pretty as the 1st photo.
