Before you all go correcting this one I want to tell you what happened and why I came up with this. First I forgot the rule about checking the iso So all my pictures were shot at 1600 iso today giving each photo more noise then I would like to deal with. All the closeups I got of the ducks and geese seemed so grainy.
Now you all know I'm playing around in PhotoshopCS2 with lighting techniques and all kinds of filters and tools. So OK now with that said what do you think.



Then I was able to get this guy coming into the pond. and the scenes run in order.

Backing off the speed and height. lowering landing gear.



Next slowing for the landing. landing gear down and locked



And the splashdown.



No emergency equipment needed

I actually like the mallard a lot. I do think there is a bit of "over the top" type mysticism implied tho. Sorta "the mallard as an angel" type of thingy.
The goose landing series is just flat out great! Especially the middle shot.
