Where Does a Roadrunner Sleep?
Posted By: Bob Harris, 06-03-2012, 09:14 PM

Well, in a tree of course. I didn't realize it until I accidentally noticed a roadrunner going into a tree near our campsite. Each evening he showed up,and flew into the tree for his nightly sleep. I have taken many photos of the birds on the ground but this was a first for me, hope you enjoy this rare view. Bob

not a question I've contemplated a lot, I sort of imagined arms folded leaning against a rock. I didn't realize they could actually fly - ( Warner Bros. has a lot to answer for. ) Nice captures Bob, I've learned something today.
Cheers.

CC, a roadrunner can fly/glide about 20 to 30 feet and they can run about 15mph if I remember right.

A lot of the desert doesn't have trees, so they will hunker down in bushes for the night.
