I took this one from my balcony, handheld, and hand holding a piece of welders glass in front of it. I really needed a good solar filter. This is as shot, but cropped.

Nice shot. I used a welders filter for years for solar viewing and then broke down and bought one. Stays in the drawer most of the time.

Not a bad try.Venus look like a pimple on the sun's surface.I'm sure there will be more of these types of images coming out everywhere soon.
