Following a Bullfrog
Lens: Tamron 18-250 Camera: K-5
Posted By: paxye, 06-08-2012, 05:50 PM

The kids and I had fun following this bullfrog around yesterday...

My son was even able to pet him and got bored before the frog did

He headed for a lilypad that he was way too heavy for...

then swam away...

and just floated instead...

Great series, the pics are wonderful! I've never encountered such a friendly frog.

Thanks he was fun to take pics of... He was so nonchalant of us being with him, I almost felt he was going to start talking to us...

Ok, I may need to step away from kid movies

What a fun series of shots. I'm especially impressed with the third and the last one. Did you or any of the kids try kissing the frog to see what would happen? It had to have been a prince in disguise don't you think?

Also two of my favourites along with his elongated swimming pose... I love the web feet and how we can see his muscle structure. They look all fat and lumpy when they are hanging out but they are so well built. He lives in the tiny lake in front of my mom's summer cabin and we see him all of the time... I asked my daughter if he wanted to kiss him but she just ran away shrieking...

If you have a lot of them around, you could also try frog's legs for dinner sometime. I can just imagine your daughter's reaction to that!

I talk to my non-human subject all the time, and sometimes they talk back.
