Very nice capture. Our kingfishers don't look the same... and I've never seen one up close, forget about had a chance for a picture... they've flown over my head any number of times, but usually just a blur, and way too far away to get a good look at when they land. OUrs are blue and white.

The second one for me.
Did you do much cropping, if any?
I've got a coupleof kingfisher shots, but had to crop about 50-60%...unfortunately.

All I ever see of Kingfishers is the bottom of their wings and a loud rattling cry as they fly away.

@Mickey: unfortunately even with a *300 you have do a bit of cropping. She was very close by, so it isn't that much of a crop.
