I really love the bloom, it is very different...any chance for a "bloom only" shot or two? It deserves its own 15 minutes of fame!

Excellent detail and saturation. Excuse my ignorance, but, not having done much with macros, was that auto or manual focus?

All these shots were auto focus, I'm 63 years old and need bifocals.. manual focus is not a good idea for me. I find, as long as you pay attention to where your focus point is you can achieve excellent results. But, take lots of images. The AF can switch off the point you selected at the last second, after you press the shutter release. Once you get locked onto something you can just fire away. A tripod is critical, as is the 2 second timer, for many shots.
