Went out in the heat of the day, brilliant sun, lots of wind. Played around with ISO and practiced manual focusing on moving objects.

My dog Tripper waited patiently as I photographed grasses blowing in the breeze...

I crawled under a leaf to get the shadow of a fern

Strong sun and shadow on a little stream

That photo of Tripper is beautiful. Really sweet mellow colors and tones. Any chance you could do a re-shoot with a lower ISO? I think that one's a potential wall-hanger.

I also really like the fern shadow on the leaf. It's a great perspective, and B&W works well.

Tripper is the most photogenic dog on earth I think. I have so many outstanding and beautiful shots of him... this is my favourite...

its just a piece of grass, it doesn't have any right to this sort of fame,

I bet it never imagined as it awoke this morning that its picture would be taken, posted on the internet and have a couple of hundred people from all corners of the globe looking at it.

seriously though I think its great when you can take the ordinary and make something from it by using light, angles, perspective, composition etc. etc.
Tripper is always a winner, ... now he knows he's famous!

A sincere thanks to everyone who commented! I appreciate that you had a look. I felt these were bordering on not good enough to share but was so pleased that I could freeze the grass by panning the camera set with a high ISO and manual focus. So I am doubly pleased some images went over okay with my friends on the Pentax Forum.

With any luck next time I try this it will be a bird in flight!!!

Thanks too for the kind comments about Tripper. He is an amazing dog.
