Elephant Rock

Found this on the Gold Coast when down there for the weekend. I had never heard of it but saw the sign and just had to have a look. I checked out all angles and really couldn't see an elephant in any of them

Nice Shot, i think that this is more of an elephant head rather than the while animal. If you look closely you can see it, the spot where the person is sitting is the tip of the trunk, near the bottom where the rock has been indented is the face and the overhang is an ear. It appears that the top of the "head" is leaning towards the camera and slightly bowed.

Nice shot - good job on having the person in there to give a sense of scale. I don't see anything resembling an elephant either , maybe the head as c13_ suggests , it may be named just for the sheer size that is one monster mastodon , mammoth rock !

I guess maybe rain washed away the big 'X' drawn in chalk on the one spot you must stand on to see the elephant... ?
