Great images Ken,
We have Australian speaking versions of those birds here in North Queensland- local name is Yellow Breasted Sundirds. They are such feisty little birds and so quick - you've done well to get these great clear shots. We have had the nest haning under out balcony from time to time. They can sometimes be seen to sit on the wing mirror or door sill of parked cars and chat away to their reflections in the mirror.

Good to see your examples. hope you don't mind me adding a couple of Oz examples:

Great series, excellent images of this beautiful species. It's great that those images are so sharp that you can do such nice compositions without losing details. Well Done Ken!

Beautiful birds Ken. The type of flower it is perched on really adds to the shot. I sit here and try to pick a favorite and I can't.

Fantastic series of one of my favourite little 'hummer-sized' birds, Ken ! The last shot is my favorite for it's uniqueness.

I arrive in Sanya tomorrow for 3 days, so fingers crossed I can find them !

Love your images Ken. yep I saw some one refer to the olive back in a post a few years ago.
Was sure it was the same bird. Nectarinia jugularis. My bird identification book, Simpson and Day, state that a previous name was 'Olive Backed Sunbird'.

Not many yellow birds in Australia so maybe the yellow was a significant feature worth naming whereas olive is a little more common. Other way round in your country.
