Bluest Skies Are In Seattle
Posted By: rormeister, 01-22-2008, 03:41 PM

When it stops raining This is my first post with my K10D. I'm using my old M42 SMC 132mm with a Hoya Polarizing filter. Tried to catch the Moon this morning, need to PP a bit before I dare share it.

Wow. It could have been better if the poles on the bottom right corner was not there.

Nice pic. I know you must have been glad to see that type of weather this time of the year. My son lives south of you in Tumwater, and he said there haven't been many good days recently.

Is this Lake Jackson by any chance?

We have to take advantage of sunshine around here. This is actually part of Lake Washington, a small bay called Salmon Bay. The little bridge affair is actually the spillway that maintains the lake level. It's connected to a Fresh/Salt water Ship Lockage allowing boats to pass to the Pacific Ocean (Puget Sound).

A nice crisp image and not much you could have done about the masts in the foreground. With your K10D you can go out when it's raining and get us some nice shots that way as well.

And the hills, the greenest greens in Seattle

Like a beautiful child - growing up - free and wild
I love that song..

Nice shot of a beautiful place. I miss my Washington days as a young lad... \

Thanks for the memories of the place and the song...

Very nice shot, the colour is great. Looks like the old 135mm is doing a fine job.
It's been too long since I've seen the Rockies. Maybe have to plan a trip to visit Stu or Dave sometime...

Thanks gus. Having grown up here, its now a rare day when you don't have (a) rain, or worse (b) smog. This was an amazing day. Glad you liked it.!

Thanks Peter. Yes, despite all the excitement over the K20D, I don't think it's time to throw the K10D out with the dirty bath water
