Had a wildfire just a little to0 close to our ranch this afternoon. The wind kept the fire away from us, lucky this time. The perfect combination: hot + windy + Stupid people = wildfire

Glad to here you are all right. Those fires can be terrifying. Not sure I would think to pull out the camera.

slopez, Been here my whole life, I've seen lots of wild fires and don't take foolish risks. The wind was at my back and I was some distance away. The 300mm lens adds a margin of safely too.

I fear this is going to be a very hot year!
