Grand Teton NP
Posted By: slowpez, 06-20-2012, 06:00 AM

Three from this magnificent NP. These were taken from our trip in 2009. We waited days for the "ladies to lift their skirts" or for the clouds to uncover the mountains. It was worth the wait.

I really like the last one and I can relate to waiting on cloud cover in the mountains.

Seems you always have to wait on those clouds but it is always worth it.

Beautiful country. It's really neat to see the low-lying clouds in the latter 2 shots.

Very nice series. It reminds me of our New Zealand trip. Many days of being clouded in and then one day of magic.

basically we have been shut out the couple of times we have visited, we will try again this September and hope the ladies give us a peak. Very pretty photos that I hope to see in person.

That one day is worth it too isn't it?

I think we spent a week at Gros Vent CG waiting for the clouds to lift Bob. Worth every minute of it. Hope you have the same luck come September.

Beautiful, Susan. I haven't been to the Tetons since I was in grade school - thanks for reminding me of them.

Thank you Jer. It is time you went back - you're not getting any younger.
