The tide at work
Posted By: regken, 12-30-2006, 06:19 AM

The tide rises and falls 12 feet to 18 feet every 6 hours. At high tide the buoys are sometimes pulled down below the water surface by as much as 18 feet. This causes them to expand. They then go back to normal size when they resurface. This is what they look like after a season or two of use. C & C appreciated.

Regards,

Unusual texture and colour. Eerie like some of tumour stained with different ink. As what Clarence said, it does have an impact.

Thanks for sharing!

18 feet is nothing to our Canadian friends further up north in the bay of Fundy. It can run up to 25 feet in places like Hall's Harbor. here are two photos that were taken 6 hours apart.

Ken I don't understand why the e-mails are not going through.
Are you getting any text?
Are the photos being scrubbed out by your ISP?
Is you spam filter filing them in the trash?
Sent you a single photo as a test 12/25/06 & caser text only on 12/26/06 wanting to know if you got anything.
