Just a few cycling criterium shots from last saturday morning. First time i have had problems with the continuous AF of the k10d. A k20d and 60-250 would have been good for this, but it looks like ill have to wait a while...

All these ones were taken with a k10 and sigma 70-300 APO

And there is a few more in a set here.

A very nice series of panning shots. You may have had a problem with the AF but it doesn't show in your images.

Thanks everyone

Just thought i would add that they were all shot in JPEG and not RAW. Was impressed after reading nothing but negatives about that for so long.

What problems!? Did I misunderstand? I think the first is an excellent example panning, focusing and colour representation. Well done.

Thanks.

The main problem i was having was the camera not taking the photo when i hit the shutter button for a burst when using AF-C. It would focus on and then track the subject fine for the first shot and then it would focus and refocus before taking another and i was getting about 1 frame per second if i was lucky.

Oh! I see. I think in that situation, you're probably better off with manual focus. Were you using Continuous or Single?
