A weekend mix: fox, butterfly, waxwings

Just before my K5 decided to suddenly die on me
(yeah ... it's now at Pentax Canada for whatever it will be to fix )

So, here are a few from a mix of different nature "items":

Lovely series, the fox shot is wonderful, and I'm envious! It looks great in full-screen mode on your Flickr.

Hope you get your K-5 back soon.

Thank you, luftluss !

Indeed, the pics always look better directly in Flickr/full screen.
The K5 just died after about 25K clicks... all of a sudden, the shutter would not activate and both top and rear LCD's showed empty battery and a message "Battery depleted" in spite of fully charged batteries.

There is a thread on that here ... (it is a now known issue) I won't elaborate; just a real PITB when I need it the most.

Cheers.

Sorry to hear about your K-5. Hope its hospital stay is short one. This is a great series. Especially love the fox and the cedar waxwings.

Thanks for the comment, slowpez!

As for the K5, I too hope this will not last, as Pentax Canada says, "from 2 to 4 weeks" !!

And to top it all, just today: the brand new Samsung Galaxy S2 Lte I received 5 days ago is already "dead"!
Gone back to Samsung already!

Maybe I got this computer virus built-in me !?

Nice set JP - as always you make this lens sing in your hands (no comment about the K5 croaking).

It was a great weekend indeed ... in spite of the "fluke".

The scenery along the St Lawrence River was just out of this world ... saw some belugas too (too far to "capture" but you could actually see them at a distance and hear them "blowing") ...

Cheers.

Well, mid July is usually a good time for that!

I just sent an email to someone regarding this part of the country and I forgot to remind them of "Pointe Noire", just outside of Tadoussac for tentative shoreline-whale-watching.

Cheers.
