How Hot Was It?
Lens: Bigma 50-500 Camera: K5 Photo Location: Texas ISO: 3200 Shutter Speed: 1/200s Aperture: F8

Too hot for Otis to stay out in those Woods of Otis! It was 102F here today.
Otis likes to find a cool spot on the deck just outside my office, where he can keep an eye on me....and make sure I am not trying to get a "cheap shot" of him with some Toy Camera.....

Got to get comfortable.....

Maybe shift around a little until you get it just right...

....and when you do, just let 'em hang out and cool off!

I told Otis that last shot was Not Safe for Work....He said that if it wasn't safe for someone's work, they should get a new job!

Regards!

Alright Rupert, these photos made me smile and then laugh. Maybe you should make him a little swimming pool?

Thanks larry! A smile and a laugh are always welcome in my world!
He has a King Size bird bath and plenty of fresh cool water every day.......I can't go all out for every luxury in the world for Otis......he might get the "Big Head".

Regards!

What always amazes me when I see these shots is how comfortable all your squirrels look. They just flop right down like they're kids hanging out on the living room couch. Ours sit up and pose prettily but get comfy? Not likely. Ours love me. The come running to talk to me even when I don't have peanuts in my pocket but they're just not that casual about lolling about. Must be a Texas squirrel thing because it's freakin hot here too and they're not doing THAT, lol.

For some reason I figured I would be looking at an egg on the sidewalk but instead, I get Otis looking like he wants to move to the mountains for the summer. Bob needs to drop by and pick him for a little cool-off trip.

Yeah, he was lounging on the other side of the plants. Sometimes there will be a half dozen having a picnic on the deck. My Squirrels are as laid back as they come.....after all, they own the place, and even have their own private Woods of Otis!

Thanks for looking guys!, Otis always appreciates it! Den, thanks for pointing that out, Otis appreciates that he is recognized as a "manly" Squirrel.

Here is one exactly one year ago to the day...as you can see, not much has changed. No need to get excited around here, just relax and enjoy!
