It's not that the dark green area is distracting, it's that the major focal area - those amazing droplet-encrusted petals - rides low (IMO) in the frame. It's like there's more dead space on top than on the bottom, for some reason its that proportion that distracts me. It's not entirely out of the realm of possibility that I'm a little loco!

This is just an amazing shot. The lighting is really fantastic and the drops are so crisp. I checked this out earlier today while I was at work and didn't have much time to comment, but it inspired me to go home and buy the Sigma 105. Just hit the checkout button a few minutes ago.
