Cape Cod--A very nice place
Lens: Pentax 18-250 Camera: K5 Photo Location: Rock Harbor--Orleans Ma

This spot in Orleans Ma you can walk out nearly a mile at low tide past the channel marking trees which are in over ten feet of water at high tide.People flock there at sunset to enjoy the display that mother nature provides.---charliezap

Interesting place. I am intrigued by the trees used for channel marking. What sort of tree can survive in salt water? Are they a tall form of Mangrove?

Hi Bruce. The trees are pines and they are replaced in the sand every year because the ice in winter uproots them..They are not alive but they are very unique to view in person.--charliezap

Hey Capn - that first one is a stunner! Like nothing I've seen before, exactly. A first rate piece of photography if there ever was one, my friend.

What is amazing is when you are up to your knees in water and you are at almost a mile from shore with the tide coming in.It's pretty intimidating.--charliezap
