New Holland Honey Eater & Red-browed Finch

I was getting some shots of the honey eaters when some Red-browed Finch came by

Very beautiful birds, nicely captured. The little finches are very colourful!

Never seen that type of finch before CC, very pretty little guys and great shots here to share.

thanks for the comments charlie, lately I seem to find a new ( to me) breed every time I go out, if this keeps up I'll soon be a birdologist , cheers.

thanks for having a look and your comments, the honey eaters rarely venture into the open so its hard to get a shot with the subject isolated against a smooth background but the oof swaying gum leaves and the background sky highlights sometimes makes for some interesting effects, cheers.

thanks Bob, I first saw these just last week but couldn't get any shots, this time they just flew in all around me, a few shots and they were gone in a minute or two.
