A neighbors cat sits looking in through our door. Had to underexpose by 2 stops to keep him black.

Excellent. The rim light is really effective.
Do you know what happened to curl his whiskers on the viewer's right side? Or is that part of collar? (Sorry, small screen, old eyes.)

It is part of an old collar he was wearing, quit a timid shy cat.
