Thanks eaglem!
Originally posted by pentapixel Beautiful shots. Both lens and flowers are incredible, but it wouldn't be possible without your intervention. Excellent job!
Very very nice of you to say pentapixel! Thank you
Originally posted by bluestringer These are fantastic. Excellent work. The colors and detail really pop.
Thank you bluestringer! My macros don't come close to the beauties you get with tubes and skill. That caterpillar looks much more impressive on my big computer screen!
Originally posted by loco I would be excited too, Tess!! Amazing colors and those last two caterpillar shots are really special! Great job!
Thanks Lori! That little guy was so much fun to shoot. I should have cropped him more as he has pollen all over his face and it looks like he is smirking at the camera.
Originally posted by Bob Harris vibrant colors for sure, great reds, #2 is my fav.
Thank you Bob! Number two was a surprise when I saw the spindles of fibre around the little flowers about to bloom. This is a cluster flower. The individual flowers are teeny tiny. I will get a shot when it opens.

Originally posted by GeoJerry Really like that first one, the colors and composition, with the focus on the left and blurred flower on the right. Very cool!
Thanks Jerry!

It looks like you have a big ole' dust spot on the first shot, at the tip of the top-most petal.
ahhhh... oh no.... I missed it, darned thing hiding in the bokeh that way! Thanks luftfluss!!
Originally posted by Rupert Beautiful shots! The yellow is my favorite, but the one before it is very close.
The red one? What is it? I had one of those a couple of years back but couldn't keep it alive long in the heat here.
Regards! ....still looking for that Doggie Album.....! Otis too!
Thank you Rupert... I can't remember the red ones name although they are really popular here as both an annual and a perennial of sorts in that they do come back in the garden.
That doggie album is growing and bursting at the seams... I will have to find some time to make a thread for you and Otis. Thank you for having a look at my photos and for the great comments.
