Tiger at the Denver Aquarium
Camera: Optio P70 Photo Location: Denver, CO
Posted By: Bob Harris, 07-06-2012, 08:03 PM

This Sumatran Tiger is part of the Rain Forest display and is the smallest of the tigers, but at almost 300 pounds and over 7 foot long seemed huge to me.

What a beautiful, majestic creature. So hard to believe that there are people who want to kill it.

this might be a way to curtail such senseless killings of the tigers. they should do this in Africa/China with the poachers also.
Indian state says it's OK now to kill tiger poachers on sight

Lori, it is fun to watch these big cats, notice they aren't any different than the house cats we have, most of the mannerisms are the same

I remember reading that and thinking, "WOOOOOOOOO!!!"

What really gets me are the wealthy first-world types who decide they want to fly to another country to hunt "big game", as though that were something to be proud of.

I was surprised when I went to the Aquarium and the final display is a tiger! But the weirdest thing about the Denver Aquarium is that it was taken over by the Landry's Seafood Restaurant people a few years ago, so now you tour the aquarium, see all this wonderful sea-life, then sit-down and eat some of it at the accompanying restaurant....

So that is why the mahi-mahi was so fresh. I think they are a little expensive for what they offer.TFL, Bob
