8 pm 4th of July, I followed this deer around...







I think it's impressive that the Pentax SR allowed me to shoot as slow as 1/80s @ 500mm, although I was braced against the side of a house.

Also impressive is the IQ you got with these pics with the old 'lil bigma! In the right hands these lenses can do quite well as you have shown.

What I've learned about this lens: don't shoot at infinity (soft images), don't shoot at low-contrast subjects (soft due to false-positive AF lock). Otherwise, it's pretty good.

She sure looks like she is posing for you in the first one. Very nice series.

At the very least, she didn't seem perturbed by my presence. There were many bugs out that evening, I think they were bothering her.

I am just in awe over these shots!! Amazing detail and clarity... the eyes are incredible. Great images luftfluss!!!!
