Posted By: mtnbearhug, 01-24-2008, 09:06 PM

I have to say that Winter is one of my favorite times of year.... yeah I know I am kind of strange but winter has a beauty all of its own.... These are some of the pics I took last weekend. I had to get some powerlines out of them before I posted them... UGH!!!

I hope you enjoy them... C & C is always welcome and appreciated.... I have a 7 pic Pano of the cabin pic that I am still working on and will post it in a couple days..

#1 is actually taken right of the side fo the road... I had to stop on the way home for an accident to be cleared and this was the view out of my drivers side window... How could I resist!!!!!

#2 is a crop of #1...

#3 I would love to own this cabin/house....... I can dream can't I ???

#4 Pollock Mtn. with fresh snow from the night before... Tall and proud she is!!!!

Thanks for lookin... Kim

You live a little closer to the tree line. I am down in the desert, where snow is the only thing that could possibly make it pretty. Nice shots.

Very scenic Kim and nice job on cloning out the power lines. I love winter as well - just wish it was not our longest season

Very nice series and great clone job as well. The last 2 are excellent shots and I particularly like the final one as the scene is framed by the trees on both sides. Well done.

#3 is Great!! Very nice forground and framing with the trees in the foreground on the left. The size of the cabin is just right to make the mountains feel expansive.

I can tell you like snow from your photos. So you must be doing something right! ;-)
I like them all.
Sometimes when shoveling it, getting stuck in it, digging it out from down your neck, etc. it's hard to reflect on the beauty contained in those little hexagonal crystalline jewels of nature.

Thanks for your pictures.

Great shots Kim. Do your snow shots come out really blue? I have to warm mine up in PP.

Very nice shots...I cant wait to take some pics of Utah's mountains but it has been very bad lately with low visibility.
