The Badlands in HDR
Lens: Combo of 21mm, 43mm and 77mm Camera: K5

I know HDR is not everyone's cup of tea but I'm having fun messing around with it.

The only way that we get better is by "messing" around with different aspects of photography.Life is a learning experience.Go for it.--charliezap

The bad lands never looked so good in any picture I took... that middle one has a serious halo though.

As a rule I find HDR infuriating. When it's good it's awesome... when it's not... often the picture is ruined. It's like shooing craps.

I completely agree especially when one is having as much fun as I am "messing" around. All this messing around reminds me of Jim Croce's, "You Don't Mess Around with Jim."

Thank you for the comments.

i tried to do away with the halo but my gf and a couple of friends preferred the halo so I did two versions. I meant to post the "haloless" version but forgot to upload that to Flickr last night.

Thanks Tracy. I am sure this one was taken with the 21mm.

One is pretty darn good , agree with others on the halo , last one is a nice one as well. I know it's like riding a motorcycle hard to keep you hand off the throttle when playing with HDR ...but sometimes those overtweaked ones look awesome IMHO.

Maybe the BAD lands have repented, thus the halo's.

Another great park. I really like the first one. I think you captured the feel very well.

Thanks so much guys.

It's really funny how my friends who are non-photography enthusiasts prefer the halo. They insist I leave it that way. Anyway, I'm having so much fun so I can just keep on experimenting.

I really love the third shot! The textures are so nice using this method.
