Song Sparrows

This little family visited us often to eat blackberries and sing. The male has some damage to the feathers on his head. Didn't seem to affect him much. Of course, it could be that he is just old and bald.

Thanks guys. It was well over 100 when these were taken. Now that it has cooled down to the 90's we all feel better. Luftfluss, do you think he is Franciscan or Jesuit?

Thanks Bob and Dave. Thankfully Bob the humidity was fairly low for the area and the time of year so it felt quite desert-like.

Thanks Tess. I spent hours watching this family. Even made Ray stopped picking the blackberries so they would keep coming back. Would love to know what happen to the little guy's head - never will though.

Very nice job, Susan. I feel sort of sorry for the little guy with the clipped head.
