Castle Mountain

We took the Bow Valley Parkway between Banff and Lake Louise instead of the more direct ,popular Trans-Canada #1 it's a great drive for those that are not in a rush which at the time we were not. Here's a picture of Castle Mountain and all the greenery. It was overcast that day not the best looking sky still a nice place to stop and have a drink or a bite to eat.

love the green here Dave, takes a lot of upheaval to produce a formation like that.

A very cool landscape - I like how the cloudy, gray sky accentuates the lush green and detail in the "castle". Nice job, as usual.

I agree with sailor. The greenery does make up for the overcasting of that sky.Just keep those mountain scenery images coming Dave.I never get sick of looking at beautiful scenery like this!!

Did you go to the summit? I think we had lunch at the same spot this photo was taken from. Our photos were nowhere near as nice as this one. Beautiful spot and a great little drive.

Thanks Susan , no my helicopter was out of order - Not sure you can get to the summit perhaps? We were on our way west and while we took our time , we did have a schedule so not too many stops.
