Falls Park on the Reedy River
Lens: Sigma 10-20mm Camera: K5 Photo Location: Greenville, SC
Posted By: GvilleRick, 07-19-2012, 02:41 PM

Downtown Greenville has a park built around the falls on the Reedy River and the Liberty Bridge. I decided to take a trip to the park this afternoon to try out the Sigma 10-20mm lens I received from the Marketplace this afternoon.

This shot is of the old stone bridge.

This shot is a view of both the falls and the suspension bridge.

I also took along my Tamron 90mm macro in case I wanted to shoot flowers. I ended up using it when a small dog decided dive into the river to chase ducks. These ducks took to the air to fly upstream away from the annoying dog.

A view from below the bridge.

Shot of the falls from the bridge (10mm)

Same spot (20mm)

And a final shot from one end of the bridge looking towards the other side.

All the times we have been to Greenville and never managed to see the Reedy. Now we have to go. Great shots and the waterfall is really a beauty. The ducks taking wing is a real winner.

Definitely is worth visiting. The park is one of the first places we show friends that visit. I also really enjoy the baseball stadium and need to walk more of the Swamp Rabbit Trail.

The shot of the ducks is my wife's favorite shot as well.I had a similar shot of the falls published in a tourist magazine last year. Thanks to all for looking.I think the 10-20 will be a nice addition to my bag.
